Refund and Return Policy

TN.tax is a trade name of Hint Holdings, LLC. We represent Tennessee property owners in property tax appeals. This page tells you when you pay, how to cancel, and when we give money back.

Your Letter of Authorization and Engagement and our Terms of Service set the full terms. If this page and your signed agreement differ, your signed agreement controls.

What we sell

We sell a property tax appeal service. We do not sell physical goods. We ship nothing, so there is nothing to return.

When you pay

Full Service Appeal costs nothing up front. You save a payment method when you sign. We do not charge it then.

We charge a fee only if the Assessor lowers your appraised value. The fee is 40% of your first-year savings on a home you live in or a second home. It is 30% on a rental or commercial property. Your Letter of Authorization states the rate for your property.

If your value does not come down, you owe nothing. We do not bill you for our costs.

We charge your payment method, or send you an invoice, within 15 days after the Assessor confirms the reduction in writing. An invoice is due 30 days after its date.

How to cancel

You can end your agreement at any time. Tell us in writing, by email or by mail. Canceling costs nothing.

• If we have not won a reduction when you cancel, you owe nothing.
• If we have already won a reduction, the fee for that reduction is still due.

If an AI assistant signed an agreement for you and you did not tell it to, you can cancel that agreement at no cost. Do this before we file under it. Use the link in the email we send you, or contact us.

Refunds

We charge a fee only after the Assessor has lowered your value. A fee you have paid is not refundable, unless the law requires a refund. We give money back in these cases:

• A charge made in error. If we charge the wrong amount, or charge you twice, contact us. We correct the charge and refund the amount charged in error.
• An AI assistant payment we cannot apply. If an AI assistant pays an invoice for you and we cannot apply the payment to that invoice, we refund the payment automatically.

Professional Analysis plan

We no longer sell the Professional Analysis plan. Customers who bought it paid a flat fee of $379 when they signed. Under that agreement, the fee is not refundable.
